What you are going to do
This is an exciting time for you to join us, as we are in the early stages of devising an entirely new system for the Risk domain, to which you will contribute. You will work in cross-functional teams, bridging business and IT, and liaise with stakeholders such as data users, subsystems managers and business experts. Working for a smaller bank means that you will be involved in a wide array of business changes. These may range from the implementation of new legislation to the digital transformation of our operations.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Deep diving into our business, analysing and understanding our systems, processes and underlying data
- Identifying user and business needs, and translating these needs into requirements and actionable specifications for (DevOps) teams and external vendors
- Identifying areas for improvement, for which you will explore and analyse options, and recommend changes
- Ensuring that deliverables meet user and business needs, are aligned with organisational goals and comply with the strict regulations of the financial services industry
- Securing comprehensive documentation, including data and process flow diagrams and functional specifications

Salary between € 5.597 and €7.996 depending on your knowledge and experience

Who you are
You thrive on taking the lead in facilitating change in a complex financial landscape. To gather business requirements, you uncover the underlying business issues that need to be addressed, running your own queries if need be. Harnessing your communication and stakeholder management skills you interact effortlessly with people at all seniority levels. And you know how to translate complex issues to, and convince stakeholders of your recommendations and proposals.
You also have:
- A master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or another relevant subject
- Approximately seven years of experience as a Business Analysist
- Extensive experience of data analysis and data-driven risk management within the financial services industry
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, Python and business intelligence applications.
- A good command of written and spoken English and Dutch
Who you will work with
You will join the internationally diverse, 15-strong Change & Control team, which is part of the Data Management Office in the Risk Department. We share a drive to effect changes in the Risk domain and build the data foundations and new environment to future-proof our digital retail bank. Fostering a collaborative, open and transparent atmosphere, we will give you all the support and training you need to grow your career. Although we work hybrid, we’d like you to be in our The Hague office two days a week, as we find it helps us connect.
