What you are going to do

You will work on a data product to creatively solve business issues. In doing so, you will closely collaborate with colleagues in the Strategy & Data team and colleagues from the business to come up with the best-fitting solution together. You always pay attention to the value that your data product adds for our customers and colleagues. You devote a lot of attention to the (high) quality of the data product and involve stakeholders in its creation and operation. You also play an important role in analyzing our commercial performance so that it can be further improved with your clear advice.

Who you are

You love adding value by smartly utilizing data and data products. To achieve this, you enjoy engaging with various internal clients to identify their challenges and problems. You then link these to creative data solutions that you develop yourself. You are always looking for the question behind the question and advise stakeholders to make the maximum impact.

You develop data analyses, dashboards, machine learning algorithms, and AI applications.
Explainability and the ability to translate insights from data into business applications are important. With your positive critical thinking, you also continuously contribute to the further development of the Strategy & Data team.

Additionally, you have:

• A university-level working and thinking capacity with at least 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Strong communication skills: you work with the client to formulate a question and provide advice based on that. A good command of the Dutch language is required
• Proficiency in programming in SQL and Python
• Knowledge of and experience with data science process standards such as training, testing, validation, etc. and Experience with data transformation, data visualization, and modeling
• Knowledge of and experience with generative AI applications (LLM, RAG) and experience with the financial services industry is a plus
