Network & Security Engineer

The NN Group IT Enterprise Security Services organization is looking for a network & security engineer, able to take a proactive role in the development of our secure internet access and private access services. The ideal candidate should have deep understanding of IT security, networking, Zero Trust, industry standards, and is proactive in adopting and aligning security practices and processes with all stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate must be committed to staying up-to-date with security trends, developments, and identifying opportunities for automation and initiatives that can lead to further enhancements.

What you are going to do

• Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose & resolve errors
• Recommend / design / implement an optimized technology infrastructure; including the preparation and maintenance of technical procedural documents such as patch Management etc.
• Perform independent analysis, design, and completion of assigned projects
• Provide subject matter technical engineering expertise and support and review technical work of others
• Follow up IT Service Management procedures (such as Incident Management, Change Management, etc.); Also supporting the management and monitoring of the security systems NN is utilizing

Who you are

• You are proactive and result-driven and ensure you meet agreements made
• Concise and have eye for detail while keeping the overall picture and goal in mind
• A clear communication style and able to cooperate with people having various backgrounds
• You are a team player: you are supportive and flexible in picking up tasks when priorities change
• Skilled and experienced (+3 years) in IT and IT security, preferably educated as Bachelor or Master degree in IT (or other technical and/or security-oriented study). Preferably certified CCNA, and/or cloud certification such as AWS or Azure, network or other relevant security and technical certification

Desired Skills/Experience:

• ZTNA/Zero Trust/PBAC
• +3 years of experience in Network Administration
• Experienced in administration of firewalls
• Good knowledge of IPsec & SSL tunnels
• Experience with the following technologies will be considered a plus:
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • Policy Based Access Control (PBAC)
  • Zscaler Internet Access
  • Zscaler Private Access
  • Azure Security/NSG/Monitoring/Network
  • Penetration testing/Ethical hacking
  • AWS and Azure
  • Scripting with python

Who you will work with

You will become a member of the Internet Connectivity Team within the Access & Authentication domain of the Enterprise Security Services department. The team Access & Authentication delivers all products that are relevant for our colleagues within NN Group to access their IT environments (internally hosted and in our cloud environments). Several products are part of this team. In the end the entire team is responsible for maintaining confidentiality and integrity levels for all identities and their assigned access, in a stable, secure and compliant environment.
