'We are working on what we call the new world'
Romee, DevOps Engineer at NN, once wanted to study psychology. She chose IT instead, but uses her interest in people in her work every day. She started working at NN as a functional manager and progressed to DevOps Engineer. She's having a great time at NN, not only because she is challenged in her work, but also because NN pays attention to the people behind the work. For example, by freeing her calender up one day a week to support other colleagues on the theme of diversity & inclusion as chair of the NN LGBTQI+ network.
We talk to Romee in a café in The Hague, decorated with rainbow flags. There she enthusiastically explains how she uses her interest in the human psyche every day as a DevOps Engineer. And she shares her personal story about being part of the LGBTQ+ community.
