The Finance Strategy Department is part of Group Finance NN. Finance Strategy coordinates and manages the large change programs for Finance throughout the whole NN Group. The mission of Finance Strategy Department is ‘getting it done’. This job opening is for the Central Programme team of the IFRS 9&17 Programme. 

IFRS Programme is a global initiative that includes all national and international Business Unites, as well as NN group teams. Approximately 300 people with different competences are working on the implementation of the IFRS 9&17 standard within NN. It is a compliancy programme with top priority for the NN Group board. IFRS 17 is an International Financial Reporting Standard that was issued by the International Accounting Standards Board in May 2017.[1][2][3] It will replace IFRS 4 on accounting for insurance contracts and has an effective date of 1 January 2021.[4][5] In November 2018 the International Accounting Standards Board proposed to delay the effective date by one year to 1 January 2022.


Your impact as a Program Management Officer at NN

Facilitating the implementation of IFRS 9 & 17 is your primary responsibility. To make this happen, you set up and summarise various reports and dashboards on our progress, budget, scope and risks. You present and defend those reports to our Steering Committee and other stakeholders, such as business units and their operational experts. Another daily task of yours is organising meetings and conferences and keeping our international partners posted by calling them regularly. In everything you do, you support the Program Director with this programme.This is highly visible role that can offer many growth opportunities.

  • Help define and implement project management processes, methods and standards
  • Make sure IFRS 9 & 17 is properly implemented and compliant with the regulations
