NN RAS (Risk and Actuarial Services) is a Centre of Excellence for NN Group, focusing on top quality and efficient solutions. NN RAS operates from Budapest (Hungary), where this vacant role is based. As NN RAS, we serve as an internal centre of consultancy, training, innovation and automation. We support various quantitative departments at NN Head Office in the Hague (the Netherlands) and NN subsidiaries all over Europe. Due to the increasing demand from Business Units and Head Office, the team is in a continuous and dynamic growth. Actuaries, mathematicians, data scientists, physicists and software engineers form the multinational team of NN RAS.

The NN RAS Quant Development department opens now a vacancy for a Cloud Engineer.
Your impact as a Cloud Engineer at NN
In the Cloud Engineer position your key contribution will be to further develop the NN Risk Systems in the Cloud. The systems are developed and maintained in-house by the Quant Development Team.
What your risk analyses deliver
Working with us your main responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to further development of the NN Risk Systems, where Cloud is a key part of the overall strategy
- Contribute to further improve the architecture of the Cloud risk applications, considering all relevant aspects such as security, performance, user experience and cost.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to further automate testing and deployments
- Write high quality C# code, including unit and regression tests
- Work in an agile DevOps team with tools and technologies such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud services, (ASP) .NET (Core), SQL, Entity Framework (Core), Git, JIRA, ReSharper, RESTful API, SonarQube

Critical skills of a Cloud Engineer
As a Cloud Engineer you love programming and you are passionate about new technologies such as Cloud. Keeping up with the most recent developments on Cloud and experimenting with new techniques does not scare you. You have strong interest for Cloud and proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure. You are able to build and troubleshoot pipelines and you had already exposure to moving applications to the Cloud or developing Cloud native systems in either an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) or PaaS (Platform as a Service) setup, including practical experience with Cloud native components such as blob storage, function apps, key vaults, etc.
You have the ability and desire to write clear and well-structured code in object-oriented programming languages (C#), including graphical user interfaces, interaction with databases and with client applications.
You can think in terms of product where all aspects count, from design and security all the way up to production support and functional documentation. In your daily work you apply a can-do mentality and you show willingness to challenge the status quo and build maintainable solutions that add value for our customers.
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is a must as well as excellent communication skills in English and cooperative spirit.
