Your added value as a Business Developer Wholesale at NN IP
The UK sales team consists of 5 team members focusing on specific segments of the market, with one of the positions focusing on the UK wholesale market segment. The role will report to the Head of Business Development UK and will focus on the distribution of the NN IP range and its affiliates. Equipped with a strong team-spirit he/she will help to expand the existing client base and therewith grow the asset base in the UK market.
Serving multiple distribution channels, the client coverage includes Wealth Managers, Fund of Funds, Asset Managers, Fiduciary Managers and Family Offices. The decisive basis for the sustainable sales success is an in-depth knowledge and deep understanding of the NNI IP investment products and their construction, the portfolio positioning as well as the portfolio managers’ investment views. Delivered as a cohesive investment story which involves both process and style to clients and potential clients in a consistent manner the Senior Wholesale professional contributes to a long-term strategy for the wholesale business in the UK.
The role will also involve developing the brand through various events, activities and representations to develop a stronger awareness of NN Investment Partners and its strategies with the Wholesale market. A strong interaction with the marketing team to ensure the needs of the segment are being communicated and delivered upon. The person will also work in close cooperation with various departments to ensure the successful growth of the business.
In summary, the position requires a person with a pronounced business acumen demonstrating ownership and responsibility for the existing and prospective clients assigned.

Critical skills of a Business Developer Wholesale
As a Business Developer Wholesale you have a strong academic background. Progress towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA or equivalent) would be a plus. Due to your extensive experience of at least 5 years, but preferably ten plus years, within a similar Asset Management sales position in the UK market you know our market well. You have a proven track record of developing business and achieving sales targets and an established wholesale client network in UK. Furthermore you:
- Are a natural hunter with strong sales skills (proactive sales approach, leverage on firm’s infrastructure and expertise)
- Have strong levels of self-motivation, drive and tenacity
- Are achievement oriented, focused on exceeding business goals with sufficient attention to detail
- Have Strong organisational skills
- Are Strong and positive team player with a non-territorial collaborative style
- Have Excellent communication skills both externally to market and internally to key stakeholders
