What impact will you have as Insurance Accountant (Non-Life) at NN?
We’re looking for an Insurance Accountant for the Non-Life department of NN Insurance Services Belgium. You’ll be part of the finance team and be jointly responsible with your colleagues for the accounting processing, control, analysis and reporting of our figures. You’ll also support the operational departments and make a structural contribution to an organisation on the move. You’ll report to the Finance, Legal & Compliance.

o Cash management: management of the bank accounts, incoming/outgoing cash flows, manual payments, cash forecasting and the allocation of outstanding amounts
o Account management: managing suspense accounts, open items, matching transactions, account reconciliations
o Closing operations: setting up and processing manual entries and adjustments
o AP/AR: creating POs, tracking payments/receipts, monitoring current accounts, doubtful debtors

- Financial control & Reporting:
o Reconciling operational systems / main ledger

What do you have to offer as Insurance Accountant (Non-Life)?
Experience:
- You have an accounting, economics or finance degree;
- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
- You are well up to date with BE GAAP standards and IFRS;
- You have outstanding knowledge of MS Office;
- You are fluent in either Dutch of French, with good knowledge of the second national language
Personality:
- You think pragmatically and analytically
- Your work is accurate and you like to fully understand what you are doing
- You are able to work independently, but are also a genuine team player
- You enjoy a challenge and are happy to venture outside your comfort zone
- You are an efficient planner and able to meet a wide range of deadlines smoothly
- You are good at communicating.
