Sales Consultant

What impact will you have as Broker Sales Consultant at NN? 

One of your tasks will be to make our business grow across your network of insurance brokers. You’ll build solid relationships with existing and new insurance brokers and support them in developing their business via NN products and services.

As Sales Business Partner, you will operate in Brussels and Walloon Brabant. The areas you will focus on include:
  • Insurance solutions for the self-employed and small businesses, supplemented by death and disability insurance policies;
  • Motivating your network of insurance brokers operating in this field, placing emphasis on the relational aspect of the business;
  • Supporting broker with your own expertise, providing advice on relevant legislation and regulations and by organising a wide range of training opportunities, focusing on the needs of your network.

You’ll find other colleagues also working in this region, each in their own specialist field, such as life insurance solutions for private individuals, group insurance and loans. In the main, you will work independently in your own specialist field, but with your overall knowledge of the other specialisms, you will also be able to generate leads for your colleagues.

What do you have to offer as Broker Sales Consultant

The sales business partner that we have in mind for this job has at least 3 years of sales experience in the banking or insurance sector, ideally in a business-to-business context. You hold a master’s degree or equivalent gained through experience. You also have the necessary certificates, such as PCP, in the context of individuals who are in contact with the public. You have knowledge about pension and insurance solutions for self-employed workers and smaller companies. Excellent knowledge of French is required to enable you to communicate in optimum fashion with our brokers.
  • Results-focused: you feel at home in an environment where there is a large degree of autonomy and are able to develop your own network creatively, focusing in particular on the long term.
  • Enterprising: you are actually an entrepreneur in your own region and do everything you can to achieve your goals each year. You demonstrate strong maturity by handling everything correctly and proactively.
  • Good communication skills: you understand the language of your professional network and communicate fluently with them.
  • You have a passion for your customers and for building and developing business relationships. This means you are happy to focus on generating new customers. Your aim is to ensure NN becomes an established value in this region. As a good networker with strong powers of persuasion, you are a genuine business partner for our brokers and customers alike. 
  • You are completely fluent in French. Good knowledge of Dutch or English would be a bonus.
  • To sum up, you have an entrepreneurial mindset for working independently within a particular region, with clear targets you want to achieve in the back of your mind.
